Swimmer season

It's safe to say that it's upon us, folks - we can finally start to peel off our winter layers (both clothing wise and the extra poundage we've put on) and reunite with our bodies. We've rounded up our fave swimmers to pay homage to this oh so joyous occasion.

After having kids, I've been drawn to one pieces. Not only are they functional (hello, building sandcastles on the beach and to not "falling out" while running Baywatch-style into the ocean,) but also, they seem to be all the rage these days.

Also, I've been due for a few new pieces since I haven't updated my swimsuit collection in years (admittedly not since having my now five-year-old).  I'm not complaining given there's the cutest stripes, polka-dots and high-waisted goodness out there.

Victoria's Secret was my go-to in the past, but they've recently done away with their swimwear line so I had to find some new resources (in-full blown panic mode). Check out some of my favourite finds for your middle-of-winter vacay shopping:

Legend:
$ - You'd be stupid not to buy at this price point - you NEED this suit
$$ - Totally justifiable to get just one more
$$$ - Okay maybe one more
$$$$ - Pricey. But well worth the splurge (especially if you don't update your swimwear often).

($) Cupshe
I (very) nervously hit send and prayed that my suits would arrive on-time and actually fit. And I was pleasantly surprised. The suits came within two weeks and all made the cut. They've got a great selection of both bikinis and one pieces.

($$) Billabong.com
I picked up a few pieces from here. They have a year-round selection of swim and beach wear at a great price point.

($$) www.nordstromrack.com
Did you know that Rack has a website!?!? I certainly did not and was jumping up and down since we don't have one in Toronto just yet AND I didn't have to dig through an over-full rack to mayyyyybe find my size. I snagged a gorgeous Tori Burch one-piece and terry romper for post-swim.

($$$) J.Crew
Being off-season I scored a cute striped number for under $50. I foresee this one to be my go-to for building sand castles with the kiddos.

($$$$) Sandpipers
They're the highest priced, but have gorgeous suits in labels like Vitamin A, Seafolly, and L-Space. Great for that one stand-out suit, worn on the last day of vacay, with a killer tan and a hubby being forced to take a million pics....stay tuned.

An honorable mention goes out to Marshalls where I scope out the racks on the regular but somehow never have the same luck as my sister does :/
