The Hive in Honey Harbour

Good design, a great view, artisinal ice-cream, and almond milk lattes all in a place called The Hive in Honey Harbour. And yes, it's as lovely as its name suggests.

This tucked-away gem in the charming Honey Harbour community of Georgian Bay, has been a favourite among cottage-goers and their guests since the 70s. What was then called the Beehive, the shop was chock-full of cottage supplies and other finds. But it was the shopkeeper's warm and inviting character that made it a must-visit destination.

Today, The Hive maintains that cottage charm and fills the newly renovated space with a delightfully curated collection of Bay-inspired living. It's outlook is to keep it simple, which is reflected in the shop's minimal aesthetic and the attention they take for their customers. As I made my way through the mix of cottage supplies, home goods, clothing and apothecary had me swooning. I couldn't help but pick up a pair of Le Specs sunglasses and I also snagged an Afends crew-neck tee. The Hive has since opened a spa inside a former tool shed and hold yoga classes on the dock: #NamasteOntTheBay.

I can't wait to visit again next summer.  And if you can't visit this sweet spot in person, at the very least, check them out @thehivehoha.
