One for the Grown Ups

Overwhelmed with the prospect of having to make even one more decision in the pursuit of finishing up the renos in the house, I enlisted the help of the incredible duo of Kate + Amanda Design to complete my master bedroom.

Plans were already in the works for other major upgrades happening at the house (long overdue and overlooked since we moved in 6 years ago), and well, the kids got a new room, so why shouldn't their parents get one too!?

I'd met Amanda at school pick up on the first day of school. One look at her fab footwear and I instantly knew we would be friends.  And it didn't surprise me one bit when she told me she was an interior designer. We soon after started working together under my alter-insta-ego @spacesphotoco and I dreamed of being on the receiving end of the "ahhh" feeling their work invokes. It was MY turn now!!!

The main space needed a mini-makeover, while our closet situation left something to be desired.  Both hubby and I have a *lot* of clothes and they inevitably end up tossed on a chair or piled in a corner since there was no proper place to put them all. I had already been dabbling with the IKEA Pax online planner and had pretty much worked out a way to maximize our current configuration to nearly double the existing space. To achieve this, we stole space from our hallway linen closet and the closet in the spare bedroom - both of which backed onto the master. Best. Decision. Ever.

The "after" state of room: I don't ever want to get out of bed. Like, ever, ever. Agree? Tell us in the comments below.
